About
Our Philosophy & Approach
At Tinton Falls Cooperative Preschool (TFCP), we believe that a child's first educational experiences lay the foundation for a lifelong love of learning. We promise a nurturing, supportive, and stimulating environment where every child is encouraged to learn and grow, exploring the world in their own unique way.
Our programs are thoughtfully designed to enhance holistic development. Through hands-on activities, we cultivate emotional growth, vital social skills, creativity, and healthy physical activity, all of which are essential for academic readiness and overall well-being. We believe a happy experience outside the home, coupled with exposure to a wide range of engaging activities, instills a natural desire for lifelong learning and exploration.
Our Cooperative Community
TFCP offers families in Tinton Falls and surrounding communities a unique opportunity to participate in their children's foundational school journey. Our cooperative setting encourages family involvement, where parents can choose to contribute their time and talents, enriching the learning environment for all. This collaborative spirit ensures a low adult-to-student ratio, providing unparalleled individual attention and excellent supervision. We truly believe that our engaged community of families, staff, and leadership makes TFCP a supportive and special place, akin to an extended family.

Our Dedicated Staff
Our team of educators is the heart of TFCP. Our teachers bring an average of 20 years of dedicated experience to early childhood education. Our esteemed School Director, Becky Martin, exemplifies this commitment, having focused on Early Childhood Education throughout her academic career at Montclair State University and across her 30+ year teaching tenure. With the invaluable daily assistance of parents and aides, we consistently maintain an adult-to-student ratio of no more than 1:7, ensuring personalized attention for every child.
Our Enduring History
Founded in 1973, Tinton Falls Cooperative Preschool has proudly served the needs of the local community for over 50 years. As a non-profit, non-denominational institution, TFCP remains steadfast in its commitment to developmentally appropriate practices that honor each student's unique learning style and respond to the evolving needs of our families. TFCP is governed by a dedicated Board of Directors and volunteers, with expert direction and ongoing coordination provided by our Director and staff. Every family is a valued member of the TFCP community, and each voice contributes to shaping our school as a special place for preschool children.
