Miss Jessica Heckman

Jessica Heckman, known as Miss Jess to our students, joined TFCP in 2023 as an assistant teacher in the 3–4-year-old classroom, where she now the teacher. Born and raised in Middletown, she has worked with children since 2013 as a dance teacher, outdoor educator, and babysitter. While earning her Master’s in Environment and Sustainability at UCLA, Jessica discovered her passion for teaching as an instructor for college freshmen. After graduating, she returned to working with young children and found a home at TFCP.

Jessica strives to create a warm, inclusive classroom where children learn to be kind friends, resilient individuals, and creative thinkers, often weaving her love of nature and the arts into her teaching. She also holds a BS in Marine Science from Rutgers University. Outside of school, she enjoys fiber arts, DIY projects, and spending time outdoors.
